Below, few of the most important devices at the Dr. Pfeifer Eye Surgery Center are listed:
- Zeiss Laser for Yag-capsulotomy and argon-laser treatment of the retina
- AVANTI OCT and ANGIOVUE (non-invasive angiography without contrast agent)
- Zeiss CIRUS 800 for fluorescein angiography, ICG scanning of the retina, autofluorescence of the retina and OCT of the retina
- Microperimeter for accurate point-based calculation of the visual field, in particular in cases of macular degeneration
- Visual field ¬– device for defining the width of the visual field by computer method
- OPD Scan for aberrometry, topography, and keratorefractomy of the cornea
- Tracey for examination of refractive eye disorders
- Specular microscope – a device for in vivo determining the number of endothelial cells
- HRT 3 confocal laser microscope HRT 3 for retina and cornea diagnostics
- HRT 3 heiidelberg engineering for optic nerve, retina and cornea scanning
- IOL master Zeiss for pre-surgery eye measurements
- Humphrey keratorefractometer – a device for determining the curvature of the cornea and refraction (diopter) of the eye
- Ultrasound for A, B scans and pachymetry as well as ultrasound biomicroscopy
- Tonometer with Canon pachymeter – a device for simultaneous measurement of intraocular pressure and sectional image (thickness) of the cornea; upon calculation of intraocular pressure, the device itself already uses thickness of the cornea and thus makes corrections to intraocular pressure measurements in real time.
- ZEISS Lumera 700 surgical microscope with RESIGHT 700 system for vitreoretinal surgery
- Milenium/Baush and Lomb device for cataract surgery
- Zeiss lensmeter (for measuring the thickness of spectacle lenses and contact lenses)
- Zeiss kombina for tests on patients with keratorefractometer, phoropter, and biomicroscope
- Defibrillator
- General anesthesia device
- Tonometer – an instrument for intraocular pressure measurement
- OCT device for examination of the macula, cornea and optic nerve with glaucoma patients
- Ultrasound of the eye with A, B scan and UBM of the eye
- Device for retina and optic nerve scanning with glaucoma patients and laser confocal microscopy of the cornea
- Zeiss surgical microscope
